Turning Point USA - Boise State University Chapter
Charlie Kirk was a remarkable person. He didn’t attend college, choosing instead to build his own organization to engage young people in the political process. Turning Point USA began as one young man with a vision and grew into a political juggernaut.
Throughout it all, Charlie remained grounded in principles shaped by his Christian faith and his belief in America. When an assassin’s bullet struck him down on September 10, 2025, he was doing what he had always done: engaging in open conversation and debate with anyone willing to stand up and speak.
The Syringa Speaker Series was founded for the same reason—to bring important voices to Boise and to continue engaging in the great dialogues of our time. No one can replace Charlie Kirk, but we believe many will be inspired by his example to carry his work forward.
It is with a solemn sense of both honor and sorrow that we present the 2026 Syringa Speaker Series Leadership Award to the late Charlie Kirk. In his memory, we’ll facilitate donations to the Boise State University chapter of Turning Point USA.
